April Showers Bring May Flowers

Yesterday it rained off and on but we still managed to get a walk in down by the lake.  Lots more signs of spring, everything is really starting to grow now.

So happy to get out the patio furniture and put away the snow tires and snow shovels. I'm looking forward to some relaxing reading time in my swing.  My husband bought me this swing a few years ago for my birthday and I enjoy using it very much!

At the Harbour

Beautiful sunny day today.  Took a stroll down at the harbour to see them putting the boats back in the water.

Rainbow

Yesterday evening's brief shower produced this beautiful rainbow.  By the time I got my camera it was already fading.

Spring Has Sprung!

This Spring seems to be very slow starting and there is an ever present cool wind.  But things continue to grow in my garden and it won't be long now until there is more colour and warmer temperatures.

Looking forward to that beautiful scent of the lilacs.

The dandelions never fail us.  This one grows every year in the same spot, not even near the grass!

Baking Day

Today it is raining so it is a good day to do some baking for the family.  I made one of our favourites, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and a pan of brownies.  They won't last too long in this house!
