Last year around this time I bought my first orchid, thinking that I may never get it to bloom again because apparently they require special care. The flowers were beautiful and lasted a long time. Since then I have been regularly watering it and that's about it. Now it has some buds! While orchids are pretty flowers, the rest of the plant is unusual with the huge leaves at the bottom and the roots growing out of the top of the pot.
My son got me an orchid in February, and it's on its second bloom cycle. I hope I can keep it alive! I know that they are fairly easy to grow, but I've never had one before.

ReplyDeleteI've never grown orchids myself but do love to take photos of them, when I have the chance. Many of them produce such spectacular flowers.
